The prime rate was recently changed and therefore the Citibank APRs have also changed. The new Prime rate as of September 22, 2005 is 6.75%. Chase sent the following message to respond to recent inquiries regarding potential drops in approval rates:

If you are looking at trends in August, you might have seen a slight drop only due to the pending issues with conversion. This was just a matter of getting all of the applications caught up and pushed through. NO changes have been made in decisioning. In fact, September is back up and doing even better than July!

Please be assured that we are back on track now that the technical conversion is coming to a close - Again, we do value and appreciate your partnership, and look forward to the coming months ahead.

Information for Citi Customers Affected by Hurricane Katrina

Citigroup is deeply committed to our customers. In the wake of this tragedy, we will make every effort to work with our affected customers to help them through this difficult time. To assist our customers with their financial needs and alleviate the temporary financial impact of this disaster, we are:

· Working on business specific initiatives, including deferred and eliminated interest and payments, elimination of fees, no foreclosures on mortgages, and other solutions as appropriate. We will continue to assess our response based on customer needs.
· Suspending collection calls.
· Not reporting delinquencies caused by the disaster to the nation's credit bureaus.
· Suspending direct mail and credit card mailings to affected areas to prevent fraud.
· Proactively calling affected customers when possible.
· Making information available via customer statements, customer service numbers and pertinent websites.
· Citibank ATMs in the United States and customer websites will also include messages informing our customers how they may contribute to the American Red Cross.

Affected customers are encouraged to contact Customer Service representatives for assistance. They will have state and local emergency assistance contact numbers as available.

On Aug. 31, Citigroup announced an immediate donation of $1 million to the American Red Cross in support of its disaster relief efforts following Hurricane Katrina. In addition, the Citigroup Foundation will match all eligible donations made by Citigroup employees dollar for dollar to the American Red Cross to support its relief efforts up to $1 million for a potential total of $3 million.
